Throughout the Texas Medical Center in the heart of Houston there are well over 100,000 employees that help take medical care to an unprecedented level. There are two specific doctors with sizable private patient bases, but who also play a very big role with our local sports teams. Within the landscape of the Texas Medical Center are two doctors with direct ties to our local pro, college, and even high school programs: Dr. Jim Muntz, an internal medicine specialist with over 30 years of working with athletes including the Rockets, Astros and Texans and Dr. Walter Lowe who leads the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UT Health and serves as the head physician and orthopedic surgeon for the Texans, Rockets, and University of Houston.
